Lovejoy Inc., Downers Grove, Ill. and VibrAlign Inc., Richmond, Va., have developed a strategic alliance to create improved educational opportunities for users of couplings and shaft alignment tools. In addition, the two companies are partnering to bring a traveling educational series to several locations in the next two months.
Founded in 1900, Lovejoy specializes in flexible coupling design and development. VibrAlign was founded in 1983 and today specializes in shaft alignment. The two copies will share their respective knowledge and expertise to enhance both organization’s communications and training efforts. For example, VibrAlign and Lovejoy will share educational content between their resource websites, www.couplings.com and the Alignment Resource Center atwww.shaftalignment.net.
The main aspect of the joint effort will be a new and improved “Realigning America Tour” with seminars to be held in seven cities across the United States between November 12 and December 10, from 7:30 to 3:30. They are free and lunch is provided. The seminars will feature content on coupling and alignment issues to help maintenance professionals solve their alignment and coupling issues. Attendees can present coupling and alignment challenges and problems they have encountered in their systems upon registration, so instructors can address such issues.
This is the second Realigning America Tour. VibrAlign held 35 such events this last spring. This events this winter will be held in the following cities:
- Chicago, Tuesday, November 12
- Indianapolis, Thursday, November 14
- York, Pa., Tueday, November 19

Thanks for sharing this Mary! Speaking on behalf of Lovejoy, joining VibrAlign on the tour has been a tremendous experience. There is certainly a hunger and lack of awareness in regards to the importance of proper shaft alight as well as coupling selection… and it has been an honor to be able to educate so many maintenance thought leaders the past few weeks. Only 3 events left to go… but we have been fielded a large number of requests for follow-up events next year… and, given the demand, (shhh…top secret) could possibly be already in the early phases of outlining another tour next year!
