RoCom Coupling Corp offers phenolic inserts for use in their triple beam flexible couplings to provide electrical and thermal isolation in critical motion control applications. Isolators can be used in both standard couplings or custom designs.

THE NEED FOR ISOLATION
Some applications experience stray currents due to electrical discharge, static build-up, or from variable frequency drives. RoCom can provide a solution to this issue with the use of dielectric inserts. These G10 phenolic inserts isolate components from stray currents and thermal stresses.

E AND F SERIES
The E and F series expander shaft couplings come standard with a phenolic insert on the bore end. The E series has a 60° taper where the coupling mates to the shaft while the F series has none. Please see the E and F series product page for more information.

AVAILABLE ACROSS ALL SERIES
A phenolic bushing can be added to any RoCom coupling, from the catalog series to a custom design. The bore with the bushing is designated as -P.XXX. For example, a phenolic insert with a .250-in. bore would be specified as -P.250
