Edge-welded metal bellows from MW Industries

March 26, 2019 By Mike Santora Leave a Comment

mw-industries-edge-welded-bellowsManufactured using sheets of metal that are hydraulically stamped into the shape of the diaphragm and then welded together, ID to ID then OD to OD, to your specified length using plasma, laser, arc, or electron beam welding equipment to make the flexible bellows. End plates, flanges, or other required hardware are then added to each end.

Using edge-welded metal bellows instead of rubber seals and hydroformed bellows in your application provides a higher level of precision, added durability, better performance, and a reduced risk of catastrophic failure in critical applications.

BellowsTech uses a proprietary welding process that is proven longer lasting & more durable than traditional methods. In-house machining & tooling enables them to react quickly for fast prototyping and quick turnarounds of full production runs. They also offer assembly refurbishment services, replacing damaged bellows in expensive assemblies while re-using the machined components.
