KTR Gear couplings / Curved-tooth gear couplings

November 30, 2023 By Mike Santora Leave a Comment

KTR-gear-coupling-on-gray-backgroundKTR torsionally stiff gear couplings operate according to the curved-tooth gear principle. As a result edge pressure in the spline is avoided with angular and radial displacements by the gear coupling.

BoWex curved-tooth gear couplings with the material combination of steel hubs and polyamide sleeves allow for maintenance-free permanent operation with severely beneficial coefficients of friction of the teeth.

GEARex all-steel gear couplings with grease lubrication and O-ring seals comply with the international standard. Permanent grease lubrication generates good friction ratio of the spline with almost wear-free operation and a high service life expectation of the coupling.

Subject to their double-cardanic operating principle both BoWex gear couplings and GEARex all-steel gear couplings are particularly suitable for compensating for axial, radial, and angular shaft displacements.

In addition, both gear couplings are suitable for power transmission in those drives intended for use in potentially explosive areas.
