Baldor Electric is proud to announce the completion of third party ATEX certification for Baldor-Dodge Grid-Lign couplings. ATEX is a European Union directive which defines essential health and safety requirements for all equipment used in potentially explosive atmospheres. The Baldor-Dodge Grid-Lign coupling meets all ATEX requirements for mining applications and other applications with combustible dust and gas atmospheres. grid_lign_coupling_atex_certified_article

The Baldor-Dodge Grid-Lign couplings have the following ATEX ratings:

T20 Covers
I M2 c 200°C
II 2 GD c 200˚C (T3)
Ambient temperature range of -30˚C to +50˚C

T10 Covers, T31 and T35 Spacers
II 2 GD c 200˚C (T3)
Ambient temperature range of -30˚C to +50˚C

Baldor-Dodge Grid-Lign couplings feature a high-strength, spring steel flexible tapered grid element capable of transmitting high torques while cushioning shock loads. Available in a wide range of sizes and configurations, Baldor-Dodge Grid-Lign coupling’s versatile design is the ideal choice for everything from general process pumps to industrial fans and bulk material handling conveyors. With the addition of ATEX Certification, Baldor-Dodge Grid-Lign couplings can further meet customer needs, providing a global coupling solution.
