R+W America to remain operational during “Stay at Home” order

For the preservation of public health and safety, and to ensure healthcare delivery systems are capable of serving those who are sick, effective March 21st, all individuals currently living in the State of Illinois are ordered to stay at home or at their place of residence, except as allowed for essential activities.

R+W America released a statement saying, “As a manufacturer and distributor of critical components for machine systems used in healthcare, biotechnology, food and beverage, and many other essential business operations, R+W America will remain open during this time, however with some temporary changes to business and communications systems.”

R+W America will be making the following changes under the order:

All employees able to telecommute are working from home
The office phone system will advise callers to reach out directly to their primary point of contact, leave a general voicemail, or to contact us via info@rw-america.com
Warehouse and shop operations will be carried out by a limited staff, following current social distancing and sanitization guidelines

With these adjustments, R+W America will be able to remain fully operational. They state that the company will continue to monitor the situation closely and follow the instructions of the CDC and local government officials. R+W headquarters in Germany are also open and producing orders. While some order delays are possible as a result of weakened movement within the European domestic market, and limited flights between the EU and the United States, the company states its highest priority is to avoid supply disruption.
