GAM hosted an Open House event to showcase recent manufacturing expansion and new service programs at its Mount Prospect, IL headquarters.

A number of dignitaries attended the Open House including U.S. Congressman Bob Dold, Mt. Prospect Mayor
Arlene Juracek, Mark Dietzen of Senator Mark Kirk’s office, District representative Victoria Williams, along
with members of the press.

The focus of the event was to demonstrate GAM’s transformation from light production to full manufacturing
that increased capacity more than 350%, while reducing lead times to less than 1 week for popular gearboxes
and servo couplings used in automation applications. GAM invested several million dollars in the expansion.

“I am extremely proud of our team and glad we got the opportunity to show our guests what we accomplished,”
said Craig Van den Avont, President of GAM, “It is important for our government representatives to see
firsthand what it takes for U.S. manufacturers to be competitive in the global marketplace.”
